The Two-Year-Old Mom

Happy Birthday to my Little Lovebug!  And (yea!) to me being a mom for 2 years!

1 + 1 = 2!!!

Our handsome 2 year old!

We celebrated all week long, starting with his birthday on Wednesday!

We spent the morning at Alley Pond Environmental Center (part of his summer program).

Taking a nature walk
Using a bug stamp to make art
Benny and the Bearded Dragon

Following Alley Pond, we went to our summer playgroup center (CUMC Playgroup in Middle Village) where I made cupcakes and everyone sang Happy Birthday!

Cupcakes for my prince
2 candles!
Yum!
Musical Instrument time!
That night, we took him to Chuck E. Cheese, because, as quoted by a friend "nothing says 'Welcome to Toddlerhood' like facetime with a giant rat!"

Birthday icing kiss!

When we got home our Little Lovebug found a birthday surprise all set out for him!

Duffy the Disney Bear!
Love at first snuggle
On Saturday morning we set up for the party - as you can see - we had a farm theme!

Party favors
Shrine to my Lovebug - banner, pictures, cake
Napkins and Plates
He LOVES balloons!
Pull-String Pinata

Tables with bouncy castle in the corner
My idea for my Little Lovebug's party was to rent out a petting zoo, but because we live in Queens, NY, they were incredibly hard to find and the places on Long Island wanted a fortune to come in!  So we invited our friends to come to the Queens Zoo in Flushing with us instead!  It was a misty afternoon, but we still had an amazing time!

After the zoo, we headed back to our church, where were were having our Little Lovebug's party!

Yummy food! Mostly catered from Stop and Shop, who always does an amazing job!
Pasta made by grandmommy and macaroni and cheese made by my aunt
My favorite - chicken courdon blue, pot stickers, quesadillas and mozzarella sticks
We borrowed the bouncy castle from my aunt and besides my Little Lovebug, it was the star of the party
Pinata time
I made the farm cake and cupcakes

Make a wish...
And blow!!!
Must be yummy!
Super dirty piggies!!!
